to start feeding them!
And very soon we will put food for all birds, which will stay with us through
a whole winter.
This Christmas red one is The male Bullfinch, Common Bullfinch or Eurasian Bullfinch, Pyrrhula pyrrhula.

Thank you very much for your visits and comments !

This picture is outstanding. I love it. I will have to keep visiting here so I can see Finland in the winter...I spent a month there in the summer, and it was very much like Minnesota, where I live. We do get a little more sun here, though. Thanks for sharing!

@daisyaday: Thank you for your visit !
It was very awful summer , but we have also hot and sunny summers sometimes.
Yesterday was rainy and windy, now it`s sunny and calm - so it`s always here, the weather changes all the time.
There are plenty of Finns (from a heritage ) in Minnesota, and we had many years ago the visiting student
from Minnesota living at our home.
Welcome to visit my blog!

@jamesy: Thanks for coming by,Deb!
We have a few hours raining and then the sun perhaps shows itself and after that it`s raining . . . .
Not so terrible, just our own, Finish autumn ( also summer )weather :)
We are soon hoping, that raining is going to change to snowing.

Beautiful. I love the redness of the bird's breast against all the grays in the photo. Looks much colder than it is here. We are getting cooler weather, but no frost yet. I also like the divisions of the composition: you have the tree trunk at right; the sky at top, the background under the sky, the branches which fight against the horizontal and vertical nature of the elements, and then the bird itself.

I don't think we get bullfinches here. We have purple finches, goldfinches and house finches though. We love them, and we too feed them all winter.

Lovely, I hope you're enjoying your Sunday.
