Windy Loch Ness, Scotland

Posted by Leena (Joensuu, Finland) on 16 October 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

My son took this photo about his daughters last July at Loch Ness lake, when they tried to see a Nessie! The lake was so stormy, perhaps Nessie was angry that day for some reason or other and they could not see him!
Too bad, perhaps next time !

My son`s family was driving in Scotland one week. Because this son was at his daughter`s age living one year near Aberdeen, he wanted show these landscapes and his schools to his daughters including "Nassie" :)

Thank you very much for your visits and comments !

That's a lovely picture Leena, it depicts the "Spot the Nessie" mood in the children, the shades of gray and the wind add to the adventure!

Cheers

Thank you for taking a time and commenting!
I think, girls did not do anything special, only turned their back to the wind saying, ouch, too strong wind now!

See you tomorrow watching the sky!

Hi, Leena! You allways surprise me with the quality and variety of the photos you've been posting! They are truly awesome!!!
Thank you so much for the nice comments on my blog! I really appreciate your advice on the cruise trip, I believe it is more than worth it! Yes, it's a shame I have never been to Scandinavia... Hope to visit that part of the world really soon.

Your sons got the photo eye for sure. The closeup provides a personal touch and the black and white really makes it seems dramatic with the ripples of the ocean surface. I did not know the Lochness is in Finland! =)

@kala: Thank you, Nicholas, for your comment!
Now I have to say, that Loch Ness is not in Finland and I put some explanations to the photo!
I should have thought this at once! Thanks again!

Ohh, it's a beautiful photograph!! I'm so impressed. I love those girls, and how they are not looking at the water. ;-)

Once Don and I looked for Nessie there too, but nothing. Your son really caught that stormy feel of the lake.

Leena, you are grandmother! Very nice and the photo is great! My two boys are not maried yet. The oldest is 32 years ans lives in Amsterdam, he is stil single. Our other son is still at home and is nearly 20 years young. I was skyping with KOOP his mother. She is in Helsinki. She asked me about you and I told her that you every sunday-evening me tells, by mail, how the situation is around Koop. They are very happy about that! Koop knows that too! Nice to know, is n't?!

greetings,

kyse.
