For SkyWatch Friday - not quite Northern lights

Sun rises 8:35 and sets 14:58. Length of day is 6 h 23 min.
This sunrise is taken from my front door a year ago, now the sky has been grey.
But I put a link of NORTHERN LIGHTS, Aurora borealis videos. These videos can enlarge a little by clicking on a right corner of video. Videos are taken in Lapland, but I have seen those lights also here - green and red ones.They give very special feelings, mystic.

@Liisa: Siellä joulupukin sivuilla löytyy lapsille satuvideoita ja muuta mukavaa vaikka kuinka, mutta melko hankala sivuja on löytää.

Beautiful colours, Leena. So your daylight is now less than 6 and a half hours and getting shorter by the day!
I LOVE the northern lights. Occasionally we see them here in Canada where I live at 44° N latitude, but nothing as beautiful as what you sometimes see.

Ooooooo... wonderful shot, Leena! In my experience, that combination of oranges and blues is unusual at sunrise, so good work in capturing it!
Because we have light snow in the Raleigh area this morning, I also posted an older shot today, and, coincidentally, also from a year ago.

This time and again 6 months later, the sun rises from that place, I can see it. Before and after this open place are too many houses, but I can see of course colourful clouds, if there is any .
I saw from TV, that in Austria is bad problems with snow this evening! That is a worse side of snow.
I wish everywhere only calm, beautiful snowing as we mostly have !

I saw this kind of sky in a documentary, on TV, about Finland. My husband and I enjoyed it tremendously, it's a different world, so much preoccupied swith nature and the meaning of each season.
