Ice stars or flowers or butterflies - or what ever you want to see !
These were on one of my windows, which was a little open during a frosty night. It was worth it !

Sun rises 9:32 and sets 14:25. Length of day is 4 h 53 min.

Thank you very much for your visits and comments !

This is Nature's artistic pallette. I remember seeing ice crystals here before, must be you left the window open more than once. :) Definitely worth it. Like a lace curtain.

@Ruth: Ruth, you have too good memory, I can not cheat you easily :)
If I am quite honest, this window is often poorly shut and it is located on a eastern wall, that a morning sun
can reach it. I have tens of pictures about it.

Thank you for your visit!
Greetings to all of you!

Fabulous shot!! What a treat to discover this on your window. With our 4 (F) temps, I might be able to do the same, but I'd rather not. I'm too warm and cozy in my house.
Happy holidays!

Thank you for your beautiful photographs. While our shortest day will be 10 hours tomorrow, it still seems short compared to our usual 12.....I am always happy when it is winter solstice. Happy holiday!

This picture is amazing. I love it! Nice job with that one...the lighting is perfect. Thanks for sharing it. It looks like it's almost as cold there as it is here tonight.

superb eye to pick this out and capture it so well! besides a couple of spots at first glance one cannot tell they are on the window so it looks like they are just falling through the air - fantastic effect!

A truly wonderful shot, Leena! These ice crystals are certainly photogenic. Love the way the light is diffracted within them, giving them color different that what's behind them. Fascinating! Do you know if people intentionally create conditions on their windows that favor their formation, for the purposes of creating opportunities to enjoy and photograph them? Seems like that would be a fun hobby. Thanks for sharing!

Now without teasing, yes I mean that - this is faboulos, siis satumainen.
