Sun - warm - holiday

Posted by Leena (Joensuu, Finland) on 12 January 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

In the morning I got these holiday photos from our son, they are still faraway from Finland - in Curacao.
The weather and sea are fine and playing with dolphins is nice, they told.
The granddaughters with their father are in the water dancing with dolphins.
Just great during Finland`s January :)

Sun rises 9:17 and sets 15:02. Length of day is 5 h 45 min.

Thank you very much for your visits and comments !

What a wonderful treat this had to be for your granddaughters!
The weather break was a drastic change for them also. I like your treatment of their photos!

At a first glimpse, I was sure that these were not photos from Finland in January (actually hardly even in July)!!

I did not believe, dolphins can be so domesticated, that strange people can play with them nd even do
their jumping after their sings of hands!
I think, that I could give one week from my January for seeing this in person :)

Thank you for coming by and commenting!

That looks like so much fun! Playing with the dolphins, lovely. I could really use some nice summer weather right now, it is going to be snow all day tomorrow and then the temperature will drop to -18C.... now where is my long winter underwear?

What fun your Granddaughters are having. It is such a contrast between the world you live in and where they are.
I would love to do that "dancing" with the dolphins. Lucky girls.

This contrast of beauties should be an enough reason for each and every one of us to take better care of our world, no?
Curacao is a very interesting and charming island, and with fantastic waters to dive or just swim.

Leena!
Happy New Year!
I haven't forgotten you either, but like you I get so caught up in real life, I find it hard to find the time for the virtual world.
But I am stuck indoors at present (40c outside-too hot!) and finally have time to catch up.
Thanks for the link to Curaçao - I had no idea where it was.
Doesn't that water look fantastic?
I could do with some of that at the moment!

Well, this certainly is a different sight than I'm used to when visiting your blog. What fun for the family. Next time you MUST join them when they travel to a warm climate, esp during your cold winter. Our week so far has been brutal with very low temperature, but Mazatlan in 15 days!!
