The sunshine was so clear,
it ached my eyes,
unaccustomed to such a clearness,
the moon was still smiling as pale.

the sun was shining very clearly on the other side of the sky getting snow glimmering, but the moon was visible the whole day, because the sun is not yet very faraway from a horizon or I think, that is a reason.
The moon is higher on the sky than the sun.
But today is again a snowing day :)

I love this composition! That clear blue sky and sunshine must have been warming to your soul, Leena.
I'm such a light-dependent person, I don't know if I could live (happily) so far from the equator, and have the long dark winter days.

But is the moon sad always in your mind, Khazan or only in this photo?
