Ancient Wall of Xian / China

Posted by Leena (Joensuu, Finland) on 27 May 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

After Beijing we went to Xi'an , what has been also the eastern terminus of the Silk Road. This city has more than 3,100 years of history. As one of the oldest cities in Chinese history, Xi'an is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China.
2200 years old City wall was our first place to visit there.

Thank you very much for your visits and comments !

Have been away for while, but now I have followed your traces... reminding me of a very similar trip a few years ago. I remeber also this wall ... under the rain! :-) (I need to go back to China to see more!)

This has so much history ... nearly unbelievable. I'm curious; is that mist/fog or smog in the distance?
