An old man . . ./ The Li River, China

. .and his cormorant.
I felt sad seeing his age and guessing,that he needed to do this for living.
After small payment we were allowed to take photos, I tried to be fast.
They used cormorants for fishing, I saw them sitting and waiting for orders, but I did not get a photo
.

While travelling i don't like to pay to take photos , but sometimes you can't avoid it , some people are so poor !great shot , the old man looks sad !
I hope the forecast is better than yesterday ?

@Babzy: Thank you Babzy, it is as cold and rainy, but a storm is over . Next week will be warmer - I believe a forecast now :)

I'm not sure I could tame one of the cormorants living here for fishing.Oldpeople are photogenic and this man seems to be very wise.

You've captured the character of the man in this shot - and his bird is his livelihood.
My husband's favorite book as a child was the "Story About Ping." On a day like any other, Ping sets off from the boat he calls home with his comically large family in search of "pleasant things to eat." On this particular day, he is accidentally left behind when the boat leaves. Undaunted, the little duck heads out onto the Yangtze in search of his family, only to find new friends and adventures--and a bit of peril--around every bend.
