@jamesy: Thank you, Debbie, for coming by! Yes, our days are shortening very fast now all the way to Christmas and when the sun can be seen, it is very low in the horizon.

Nice stark shot, Leena... but I have to admit that I still don't know exactly what I'm looking at. I saw "frozen sand" in yesterday's shot, but where is this sand? Still... it's a terrific picture!
And I hadn't realized that your long winter is already bearing down on Joensuu. It seems like only yesterday that you were in the middle of your summer... wow, that really is a short-lived summer! Do you put away lots of warm weather memories like the squirrels put away acorns? ;-) Hope your Monday was a good one!
